Beauty Basics For Healthy Skin pt. 5

Let’s do a small recap on the previous Healthy Skin Steps;

Basic Step 1: Keep your skin clear of any junk, makeup, or foreign objects.
A good makeup remover is a must-have if you intend on having healthy skin!
Basic Step 2: Exfoliate your skin once every week.
Exfoliation helps to unclog your pores, and regulates the rate at which your sebaceous glands provide your skin with the natural oil called sebum.
Basic Step 3: Cleanse your skin daily
Sometimes twice a day. Your cells re-generate every day, and you shed skin cells. If you’re not cleaning you’re skin every day, you’re creating the perfect living environment for acne.
Basic Step 4: Use a Toner after every cleanse
The toner will help make your pore less defined, and also makes it easier for you to cleanse in the future. Your complexion will improve, and the skin will be more firm, and supple.
You’ve really come a long way to getting good skin. You have survived four long articles on skin. That on its own deserves an award, but then again, skin is the largest organ that we have, so if you don’t commit to it, what are you going to commit to?

Healthy Skin Step 4: Restore

After you’ve toned the skin, it is much more receptive to any products that you put on it! Isn’t that great? After you’ve exfoliated/cleansed, and toned, your skin is now listening to you.

You need to complete the process with a product that is going to reverse all those years of damage, and neglect, that your skin has been subjected to.

Why restore? Why not just Moisturize?

I have thought about that myself. The answer to that question always comes down to what exactly I am looking to do to my skin, and how it was feeling before I cleansed.
If I had oily skin, and then used an astringent toner, I probably would want something to fight bacteria whilst my skin regulates it’s pH balance, and my acid mantle comes back to normal. Restoring really helps, especially at night, because you don’t have to battle UV Rays, and your pores are more receptive to whatever product that you are using.
Why not just moisturize?
After using a Toner, moisture is not the problem. Like I said, your skin will get back to the business of making the oil as the day progresses, so the best thing to do would be to treat whatever skin problems you had that day with a restorative product, or at least a product that can leave your skin feeling a lot more refreshed.

Is Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics Restoration Cream Good for Skin?

If that’s your question; by any chance, is your name Lindsey? Just kidding! But seriously…
You can revitalize and repair your skin while you sleep with this rich night cream. It helps to replenish antioxidant and moisture levels, and relieves that weird tightness that you might experience after cleansing and toning the skin, and softens fine, feathery lines.
“More and more scientific studies are proving the effectiveness of antioxidants, not only in helping to reduce wrinkles and aging but also reducing inflammation, such as in rosacea, or even helping prevent skin cancer,” says Dr. Patricia Farris, a leading dermatologist based in Louisiana who lectures widely on antioxidants.
Vitamins A and E, uniquely contained in the red microspheres (in the lotion), burst at night releasing powerful antioxidants that condition, nourish and repair the skin while protecting it against premature aging and harsh environmental elements.
If wrinkles are the bane of your existence, but you are not yet at the age where you would want to use a wrinkle cream (cough early twenties, cough), then the next best thing would be to give a restorative cream a go!
It does practically the same thing, and unlike toning, I personally don’t consider it to be optional. If you want good skin, you must do it.
It works even better if you use this product following a Freshening Toner.
Your skin will thank you!

Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics Nightly Restoration Cream

Water based, Phthalate Free, Sulphate and Paraben Free, Safe for Vegetarians.

How to Use Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics Restoration Cream

Like I mentioned, you probably don’t want to use this product if you haven’t toned. It’s actually recommended by dermatologists that you only use a product like this (night cream) only after using a good toning technique.

Smooth gently onto face and neck at nighttime until thoroughly absorbed.
***Avoid the eye area, this area has the thinnest amount of skin, and loses moisture really easily. It has a totally different pH balance to the rest of the face.
***For best results, use after Bella Terra Milky Cleanser and Pore Refining Toner.

We’re almost at the finish line! It’s been one heck of a journey, but we’re really almost at the end, and my promise is that; at the end of this journey lies clear, healthy, supple skin!
Good luck on your quest, and remember; The B word is for Beauty!
