Beauty Basics for Healthy Skin

Beauty is MORE than make-up

Bella Terra Cosmetics

The reason why most people that I ask, don’t like to bother with “beauty” or overall excessive skin-care (their words), is because life is too short to spend it all on your face. They figure that their skin is “as good as it’s gonna get”, and then sigh and fall into a depression abyss when they have acne issues.

Beauty Basics with Bella Terra Cosmetics

Most high-end beauty companies miss the fact that:

Healthy skin is a daily habit

And while selling concealers, and foundations to mask unhealthy skin is profitable for them, when you remove that mask at the end of the day, your skin is still there, right back where you left it, or in an even worse state!

There are over a million things I could talk about when referring to my latest craze (Bella Terra Cosmetics), but I think what really stood out for me, was the fact that they understand that healthy skin is a habit, and that clear skin is the best canvas. So, let’s put away all our make-up brushes for one second, and talk about healthy skin. I’m a  vegetarian as well, and I adore the fact that their products are not tested on animals, and contain no animal by-products.

visit: Bella Terra Cosmetics for more information on that.

Let’s talk about Beauty Basics 101!

Rule 1: Remove make-up or dirt from skin daily

I can’t tell you enough how important this rule is. There are so many people who just assume that sleeping with make-up on is no big deal. Let’s do the math for one second. It is said that not removing your make-up on a daily basis ages your skin by two days, for every day that you sleep with it.

365 x 2 = 730 days or 2 years! You could be walking around with skin that is two years older than your real age, simply because your pores cannot breath.

Step 1: Remove Make-Up (if you were wearing any)

The Bella Terra Cosmetics Make-Up Remover looks like a funky lava-lamp, but the most unique thing about this product is that it has two layers in a gradient blue shade. The first layer (clear water based looking one) removes surface makeup and debris, whilst the more darker gradient works to remove the “waterproof” make-up, giving your skin the relief that is deserves. It’s water based, so if you have oily skin, this product won’t accercerbate your condition.

How to use it:
  1. Simply shake the bottle, and apply some to a cotton swab.
  2. Use this product on your face and neck.

*Insure that your skin is dry before applying this product

That’s it for step one. Remember, if you don’t know what sort of skin you have, then you really need to drop the make-up and get to know your own skin. Knowing your own skin, and knowing what works for you is the first most important rule in having healthy skin. The second of-course is turning healthy skin into your daily habit.

My next posts will be dedicated to the beauty basics for healthy skin, and what products are good for those steps.

So stay tuned, and I’ll talk to you all soon.

Good luck on your quest, and remember; The B word is for Beauty!
